YVETTE FLUNDER, San Francisco, CA
Bishop Flunder founded the City of Refuge Community Church UCC in 1991 in order to unite a gospel ministry with a social ministry. City of Refuge is a thriving inner-city congregation that celebrates the radically inclusive love of Jesus Christ. A native San Franciscan, Bishop Flunder is a third generation preacher with roots in the Church of God in Christ. She was licensed in the COGIC and later ordained by the Bishop Walter Hawkins of Love Center Ministries where she served as Associate Pastor and administrator for the Oakland-based Love Center Church. In 1984 Bishop Flunder began performing and recording with “Walter Hawkins and the Family” and the Love Center Choir. Other gospel music recordings include “There’s Power “with the City of Refuge Praise Ensemble, “We Won’t Be Silent Anymore” with The Fellowship Mass Choir, and “How Sweet the Sound”, with the Grammy Award winning Chanticleer.

Rev. Deborah L. Johnson is the founding minister and president of Inner Light Ministries, an Omnifaith outreach ministry dedicated to teaching the practical application of Universal Spiritual Principles to all of life’s circumstances. She is also the founder and president of The Motivational Institute, an organizational development consulting firm specializing in cultural diversity serving the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Her clients range from Fortune 500 companies to community based organizations. She is a dynamic public speaker, known for her ability to bring clarity to complex and emotionally charged issues.

Rev. Jennifer Holder began serving as UCT's Associate Minister in November 2008. Her other title include wife, mother, traveler, spiritual seeker, radio show host, movie buff, and avid reader. She has a passion for Spiritual Parenting and co-hosts the internet radio show "Spiritual Parenting in Unity" on www.unity.fm
Jennifer grew up in rural southern North Carolina and Virginia. She lived in Washington, DC
and Kansas City, MO before moving to Raleigh. She has been married to husband Ogun since 1999 and they are parents of one daughter, Joy.
Jennifer is currently working towards the goal of participating in a mini-triathlon.
